Founded in 1980, Massachusetts MENTOR provides community-based services to children and families at-risk and people with developmental disabilities. Our residential services are provided by a network of caregivers called "Mentors", who share their homes with the individuals we serve.

Our Mentor families are carefully selected and supported by ten program offices throughout Massachusetts – each offering a range of residential and non-residential services. Massachusetts MENTOR is a trusted partner of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families and The Department of Developmental Services. Together, the people we serve, along with their Mentors, our program staff and our public partners, form a community of caring that renews hope, strengthens the spirit and enables positive life choices.

We are part of The MENTOR Network, a national network of local human service providers that offers an array of quality, community-based services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses. The NETWORK also serves youth with emotional, behavioral, and medically complex challenges.
