About Us
Founded in 1980, Massachusetts MENTOR provides community-based services to children at risk of abuse and neglect and people with developmental disabilities through a network of local families or individuals, called Mentors. Our Mentor families are strongly supported by eight program offices throughout Massachusetts. Massachusetts MENTOR is a trusted partner of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families and the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, as well as several state agencies throughout Rhode Island and New Hampshire. Together, the children and adults we serve, their families, their Mentors, our program staff and our public partners form a community of caring that renews hope, strengthens the spirit and enables positive life choices. We are part of The MENTOR Network, a national network of local human services providers, offering an array of quality, community-based services to a variety of people in need.
