Children & Families

Every child deserves a safe, nurturing home where they can feel value and loved. Massachusetts MENTOR specializes in serving children who have experienced trauma, loss, abuse or neglect and develop personalized services to help them heal and move forward with their lives.

Our staff works closely with the children and adolescents we serve, their foster parents, and families of origin—when appropriate—as well as our public partners, to identify the appropriate mix of services, and we continuously monitor and adjust our ISPs to meet the changing needs of each young person we serve. Using this personalized approach, we wrap a network of support around the physical, medical, emotional and behavioral needs of each individual so they can reach their potential.

Our services for children and their families include:

  • Treatment Foster Care
  • Family Preservation Services
  • Therapeutic Mentoring
  • Transition Services
  • Periodic Services
  • Kinship Support Program

Supporting Stability and Permanency

Some of the children we serve come to us from intensive residential settings and need help transitioning into the community. Others have medically complex conditions or intellectual and developmental disabilities and require specialized support. Our goal is to help children of all abilities reach their permanency goals, giving them the stability and support they need to thrive.
